I created 2 logs from the one with no directX and 32bit and the one from with directX and 64bit and there is a bit of a difference.

so I think the game is running, but there is a problem with rendering or graphics (I'm new to this stuff sorry if it is wrong) so I downloaded directX to the bottle (I read somewhere the game uses it) and changed it from 32 bit to 64 bit but still no avail. I already have the original mugen which works great with crossover but when I try to run this I only get a black screen and the game music.

its kinda like a mod to the original mugen. I'm using crossover and I downloaded a mugen game (its an old type of engine where the community makes games) called battle climax. Valve, please reintroduce a minimal UI option. I don't expect Valve to do much about this and their store would mostly likely get less attention if they remove the bells and whistles.

So, what can you do? Well, I tried a more minimal UI skin which turns out does not work for some reason but Steam starts and still have the same bloaty look and videos going bananas.Īnyway, that was my rant. Back in the day it was a list where you picked a game, but now it's nearly a fully fledged media player with several streams running at any given time. Why? There are several threads about minimalism on the steam forums where people are begging Valve to tone it down. However, currently the idling client spins up my whole cpu to about 20% and uses up to 2gig of ram. It was a great move and it's a great platform. I don't game a lot, but when I do it's kinda casual, minimal and only for short periods.Īnyway, I have been on the Steam client since Half-Life 2 came out and I love it. Like Deadly Days, Company of Heroes, Crusader Kings II, Day of Defeat, Fallout Shelter. And I know what you're thinking, but it performs really really well with the games I want to play. So, I invested in a 2011 27" iMac with an i7 8 thread cpu and 12gigs of ram. More info on performance impact of settings:

I have an 1920 x 1080 monitor where people say that FSR would be bad.

We support operating systems that not even Microsoft and Apple themselves support anymore, such as macOS X on PowerPC Macs, and RetroArch being available on Windows OSes as far back as Windows 95.I just tried enabling FSR in Witcher 3.

RetroArch can run on the usual platforms like Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, but it stands alone in that it can support far more platforms beyond just that.
